How does The Tattoo Experience sterilize?
The Tattoo Experience proudly uses Autoclave sterilization for all tubes, clamps, and tapers. Alabama State Law prohibits the use of cold sterilization.
We never reuse needles. All needles are disposed of properly following Alabama Public Health Guidelines.


What age do you have to be in order to recieve a body modification?
Alabama State Law requires all persons receiving any body modification must be at least the age of 18. We require proper identification for everyone, even if you have been to the shop before. Please have your I.D. ready every time.
Any minor (person under the age of 18) must be accompanied by the parent or legal guardian. The following is required for a minor:
    Parent/Guardian must have:
  • Government-issued identification(Driver's License, Identification Card, Military ID, etc)
  • Documentation of legal guardianship of minor (Birth Certificate for minor, Court-issued guardianship letter)

  • Official document (ID, Birth Certificate) with both name and birthdate visible



Do I have to make an appointment to get a tattoo/piercing?
No. The Tattoo Experience takes walk-ins as long as we do not already have an appointment scheduled. In order to make an appointment, we require the customer to leave a minimum deposit of $20 cash. This ensures that we know exactly what the customer wants. We want to make sure that the customer walks away happy. This deposit comes off the price of the tattoo. Piercings never require an appointment.


How much does a tattoo/piercing cost?
All prices vary. So much depends on size, coloring, placement, time. In order to get an idea of price, the customer must come in so the artist can physically see exactly what the customer wants. Then, the artist can provide a price. We do not quote prices over the phone.
The Tattoo Experience has a $50 store minimum.



How do I take care of my tattoo/piercing?

Does The Tattoo Experience do custom tattoos?
Of course. Custom tattoos are not only welcomed, they are also encouraged. Although flash (from the wall) can be wonderful, we believe that a custom tattoo provides a more personal attachment to the piece that the customer will be most happy with.



Does The Tattoo Experience take checks/credit cards?
We are proud to take VISA and MasterCard. However, we do not accept checks. Remember, cash is always accepted.
